# Pick-a-Card: Counting the Number of Minutes

Telling time is one of the most important skills you will ever learn. You need it to relax when you are watching television and you need it when you go to work or school in the morning. This activity uses analog clocks to work on your time skills. These clocks have two hands, twelve numbers, and a round face.

You need to figure out how many minutes have passed on the clock. The yellow shape will represent a number of minutes. We also have minute numbers around the clock to help you out. Figure out the right answer and click the bar. The questions are random. Each time you take the quiz, the questions will be different.

Examples:
A quarter around the clock is 15 minutes.
Half way around the clock is 30 minutes.
Three-quarters around the clock is 45 minutes.

Good luck and have fun.

## Directions

This is one of the NumberNut three-card activities. Your question will be displayed at the top of the screen. Under that question, you will see three (3) possible answers. Just click on the card with the correct answer. The next screen will show you the correct answer.

You get a happy face for every correct answer and a sad face for every wrong answer. The quiz is over after ten (10) questions. Take the quiz again and again because all of the questions are random. Chances are, you'll get a new quiz every time. It's good practice to learn these basic arithmetic operations.
